Photograph by Alex QuantAt the workshops participants are provided with everything they need to make their lantern. Artists are on hand to help with ideas, designs and technical knowledge but most of the people who get involved have got very strong ideas on the lantern they want to create.
Photograph by Alex QuantThe lantern carnival is a truly unique event and many participants told me it is their highlight of the community calendar. The carnival brings together people of all ages and backgrounds and provides an opportunity to be truly creative.
